Brain Injury Program
The Brain Injury Program is a dedicated inpatient unit offering both short and long term acute rehabilitation to individuals with a recent diagnosis of stroke, traumatic brain injury or other acquired brain injury. Utilizing specially trained staff, our program provides outcome-driven treatment that strives to restore function, independence, self-esteem and hope. We address the medical, cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, & behavioral aspects of brain injury in a calm, home-like atmosphere.

Patients admitted to the Brain Injury Program can expect at least three hours of therapy per day, five days of the week. Therapy is provided individually and in groups, with a combination of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Therapeutic Recreation. We recognize that psychological adjustment and mental health are important components of recovery therefore a psychologist and psychiatrist are an inte gral part of the team. As core members of the team, the patient and family are invited to participate in care planning and discharge planning from pre-admission to post-discharge.
