JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Performs a variety of nursing procedures such as administering prescribed medications, monitoring patients' vital signs, obtaining specimens for laboratory testing, and assisting physical examinations; Performs patient medical treatments such as catheterizations, suctioning procedures, tracheotomy care, and the application of dressings; Documents patient progress and, as directed, keeps physicians, registered nurses, and other designated personnel informed of same.

Sets up, operates and monitors ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and suctioning equipment; administers aerosol medications and medical gases per policy; provides respiratory therapy procedures such as postural drainage, tracheotomy changes, breathing exercises and nasal-tracheal suctioning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduation from Approved School of Nursing.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years of experience as a registered nurse to include one year in a supervisory, administrative or teaching capacity, and 2 years in a hospital setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: ACLS certification; Bachelors Degree in Nursing; Rehabilitation experience.

JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Plans, designs, implements and evaluates therapeutic recreation programs in accordance with patients' needs, capabilities and interest; Observes and documents patient behavior when performing recreation therapy activities in order to record progression or regression in treatment; Conduct group and individual recreation therapy and leisure education programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bacherlor's or Master's degree in therapeutic recreation or recreation with a major in therapeutic recreation from an accredited college or university.
Note: 1. Current certification as a Therapeutic Recreator from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification may be substituted for the education requirements. 2. Four years of experience as a professional therapeutic recreator, under the supervision of a license Occupational Therapis, licensed Physical Therapist or certified Activity Therapist, which included the responsibility for clints' assessments and the planning, implementation and evaluation of clients' recreation therapy treatment in a mental health or developmental disability setting may be substituted for the education requirement. Experience assisting in these responsibilities will not be accepted as qualifying experience.
