The Western Maryland Hospital Center Renal Dialysis Program, a Joint Commission accredited facility, offers licensed renal dialysis services to patients served at the Center and to residents of the State of Maryland. Services are provided through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team approach led by an experienced nephrologist, to persons with a diagnosis of ESRD (end-stage renal disease) requiring renal replacement therapy to sustain life.

The service includes hemodialysis three times weekly to maintain the patient's health. Renal transplantation services are offered to patients/residents interested in this service and who are found to be suitable candidates for transplantation. Our licensed staff have been extensively trained and offer years of experience with these special services. Staff provides each patient with individual rehabilitation, and the medical and emotional support necessary for the patient to achieve a healthy lifestyle.

The Renal Dialysis Program is located at Western Maryland Hospital Center on the first floor on 1 West. You can reach the unit by parking in the Dialysis Parking Lot, which is located south of the building on the road between WMHC and the Washington County Health Department, off Pennsylvania Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland.
